Directions: There are three alternative routes, two being on main highways, a third a quieter road but all good sealed surfaces.
(1) Via The Southern Scenic route 52.5km - 38min
From Invercargill, heading north [State Highway 6] at the Lornville roundabout turn left (west) on to SH 99 'Wallacetown - Lornville Highway' This later becomes the 'Riverton -Wallacetown Highway' after Wallacetown. Travel 21 km, to the Thornbury turn off, a T intersection on the right.
Turn right (north) on the 'Gropers Bush - Thornbury Road', traveling 23.5 km - 17min and continue right trough Otautau.
After Otautau, there is a 35 km corner and intersection which you pass straight through heading north, until you see a Y intersection with a large sweeping bend to the left,; you go straight ahead (turn right) onto the 'Otautau - Wreys Bush Road'.
Continue 6.3 km - 6min to 'Aparima Road' being a gravel road on the left,then 2.6km to Guise Road also on the left, turning right into our club at 329 Guise road which is almost right on the corner.
(2) Via Central Southland 55.4Km - 41 min
From Invercargill, heading north [State Highway 6] go straight through the Lornville roundabout and travel 25.3km (19min) on SH6, the 'Winton -Lornville Highway'.
Pass right through Winton, then turn left onto SH96 'Winton Wreys Bush Highway'.
Travel 22.5 km - 15 min to the 'Aparima River Bridge', turning left some 400m ahead,
onto the Otautau Wreys Bush Road (there is a gravel company on the left).
Continue 2.9 km turning right at 'Hundred Line Road West', then after 3.5km left (south) onto the gravel 'Aparima Road' (The Aparima Hall is on corner)
Then next right is Guise Road, turning right into our club at 329 Guise road which is almost right on the corner.
(3) Via an inland road on a raised terrace 35-85 m high with farm views. 45km - 39min
This road has a few bends with rise and falls, but is very safe and away from the main traffic.
Take the road as described in (1), to 9km-7min turning right to Waianawa on the Argyle-Otahuti Rd.
After 17km 13 min passing through Otahuti, and two 65km bends, look for a left turn 'Otautau 17km' onto the 'Faifax-Isla bank Road'.
Passing a church on the right, turn right onto the 'Lindsay - Calcium Road', past the Isla Bank School.
Later this will become the 'Otautau Drummond road', but its all one road. Continue all the way 15km-15min to just north of Otautau, where at a give way sign, turn right (north).

until you see a Y intersection with a large sweeping bend to the left; you turn right (straight ahead) onto the 'Otautau - Wreys Bush Road'.

Local Attractions: The grounds provide a perfect base to explore the best part of the mainland. Lake Te Anau and its glow worm caves, Hump Ridge Track; Lake Manapouri and the Deep Cove Power Station, - Doubtful Sound, Milford Sound The Percy Burn Viaduct; Riverton, the site of the first white settlement; Bluff, at the end of SH1, and Stewart Island are all within two hours of Southern Naturally
Milford Sound is only three hours away and Queenstown (Frankton ) airport 2.hrs, Invercargill airport 52 minutes.
Features: Miniten court; swimming pool, powered sites for vans or tents, old school clubhouse, basic cabin accommodation, and relaxing gardens.
Aparima is approximately 10 km from Otautau, in Western Southland. Southern Naturally is the southern most Sun Club in the world, yes it does snow in winter but very seldom but summers are hot and sunny, in a well sheltered environment.
The Club has made a home in the old school grounds there. The school itself has been converted into a clubhouse with kitchen attached. A two-roomed cabin sleeps four in two double bedsand there are quite a few powered sites for camping.
There is an ablutions block with a hot shower.
If you are a traveling nudist or wish to join Southern Naturally, arrange a visit to their peaceful and relaxed setting or just indulge in the local scenery on day trips.
Lunches and evening meals can be provided for a very modest fee by prior arrangement.
