Mark Kennedy's Naturist Photography

19 August 2025

Reflecting on Mark Kennedy's contribution to the NZNF and naturism

We were all shocked to hear of the sudden and unexpected passing of Mark Kennedy on 16 August 2025. Mark had been a member at Wellington Naturist Club for many years where he acted as a club photographer. Until recently Mark had a caravan onsite and often visited with his grandson Aiden.

Mark was a passionate photographer who, among his many creative pursuits, took particular pride in producing high-quality product photography for merchandise sold by the New Zealand Naturist Federation (NZNF).

While serving as the NZNF’s merchandising officer, he photographed Alice de Wet - NZNF Markering co-ordinator at the time -  to develop a comprehensive promotional portfolio showcasing the organisation’s products. These images were used across a wide range of local and international platforms, significantly enhancing the visibility of the merchandise in New Zealand, Australia, and overseas markets.

In addition, this campaign played an important role in increasing global awareness of the Go Natural brand and the website gonatural.co.nz, reaching a broad international naturist audience.

Mark was a keen enthusiast of naturist photography - particularly nudes in nature - and had a large portfolio of work from a wide variety of subjects. You can see some of his portfolio from the NZNF's private MeWe group - where a post has been pinned with links to all his galleries.
